Lately, I played the Dragon Age series for the first time and just… wow!
I really fell in love with some of the characters, especially Fenris. Everything about him just scratches my brain! The lyrium markings, the clawed gauntlets, his armor design, the way he literally rips the heart out of his enemies, his voice… even his rivalmance with my Blood Mage Hawke. The way he’d zip across the battlefield and slam his greatsword down to protect her? Chef’s kiss!
I ended up playing the series a little backwards—I started with Veilguard, then worked my way back, so each game felt like a prequel. Because of that, I had already created my Inquisitor named Fenrir and built this whole arc for him, only to later meet Fenris and realize they felt like two sides of the same coin.
And honestly? I loved that!
So of course, I got attached.
And that attachment has been bleeding into my work. I’ve been developing a necromancy story for a couple of years now, still in its early stages, and I’ve started pulling in pieces of inspiration from my OCs across Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate 3, and DnD:
Some of them are getting redesigned to make everything feel more cohesive and more aligned with the kinds of designs and stories I’m interested in. A little more chaotic, a little darker, a little more devoted.
I’m really excited to see where it all goes!

This space leans more into the behind-the-scenes side of my work, but if you want to explore more, I share finished pieces, sketches, and character work across my socials—and you can find all my links in one place on my site.
I also keep things organized over on my Ko-fi, where everything is grouped into different story worlds.
Have you played any of the Dragon Age games? Who are your favorite characters? Who did you romance? I’d love to hear about your Warden, Hawke, Inquisitor, or Rook!
